Lilith Alaster is not your typical teenager. Delivered at birth to a prestigious Farm growing food for the World Capital City, she was born out of Blue Flame on the planet of Varda…home of the Nea Elders.

Three hundred years from present-day, humanity faces the real possibility of extinction. With a population dwindled down to less than a billion, humans have voluntarily collapsed individual nations into one worldwide government, called the Sovereign Council. Food is now the most precious commodity in the world, and fertile Farmlands are protected by military presence. Climate change and reckless agriculture has made many areas of the planet inhospitable.

But the most dangerous enemy humans face is themselves. Traumas have been passed down through our genes, and have built up to overflowing in many family lines in a condition world leaders call simply, The Madness. Murders and suicides are rampant, killing hundreds of millions each year.
